What is Fair Price Web Design?
A one-person web design studio in Singapore, run by Darren — custom websites, online shops and e-learning portals for Singapore small businesses, hosted afterwards. Every site is coded from scratch, never assembled from a bought template.
How much does a website cost in Singapore?
S$600 for up to 5 pages, S$988 for up to 12, and from S$1,500 for an e-commerce shop or e-learning course site. Singapore agencies quote S$1,500–S$5,000 for the same five-page site — roughly half the local market rate.
How long does it take to build a website?
Seven to ten days once the deposit clears and the content is in hand. E-commerce and e-learning builds take two to three weeks, for payment setup and testing.
What is included in the price?
Copywriting, design, coding, mobile layout, your domain connected, SSL, WhatsApp button and enquiry form, SEO basics (page titles, meta descriptions, sitemap, structured data), and the first year of hosting. Business adds a second year plus two years of your domain. Two revision rounds on Starter, three on Business.
What does website hosting cost in Singapore?
First year free — two years on the S$988 Business plan, with your domain. Then S$240 a year, or S$300 (S$25 a month, billed yearly) for an e-commerce or e-learning site: hosting, SSL and security updates. Move it elsewhere whenever you like; it's yours.
Why is this roughly half what other Singapore web designers charge?
No office, no account manager, no sales team. A large part of any studio's quote covers rent and staff you never meet — I don't carry those costs, so they never reach your quote. You pay for the build itself.
Is the website a template?
No — coded from scratch. Look at the sites above: none resemble each other. A template studio's portfolio is one website wearing different photos.
Will the website show up on Google in Singapore?
Built so it can: page titles, meta descriptions, sitemap, structured data, fast loading, mobile layout. Also set up so AI assistants — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude — can read and quote it. That's the foundation; outranking established competitors for a competitive Singapore term is a longer job.
Can I update the website myself afterwards?
Yes — text, prices, photos and posts, on every plan, with a walkthrough before handover. Nothing to pay me for editing your own words.
What if I don't like it?
Tell me and I change it — that's what the review rounds are for. Half up front, half when you're happy.
I don't have photos or words. Is that a problem?
Normal — the writing is included. I ask questions and write the pages from your answers. For photos: good stock images at no extra cost, or I'll tell you what to shoot on your phone.
What if I need more pages later, or a full revamp?
Tell me what you have in mind and I'll quote it separately. You agree the number before I touch anything. No running meter, no surprise invoice.
Which areas do you serve, and do you work outside Singapore?
All of Singapore. In-person meetings come with the S$988 Business plan and up, once the 50% deposit is received — Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Toa Payoh, the CBD. Everything else runs over WhatsApp, email and video call, so location is no limit: I've built for overseas businesses and private individuals too, at the same prices in Singapore dollars.
